Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Doxie Drop mobile game (the "Game") handles, why, who it is shared with and the choices you have. The Game is published by Doyel Labs ("we", "us" or "our"). If you have any question about it, email support@doxiedrop.app.
The short version
- The Game has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts or precise location.
- Your progress and settings are saved only on your device.
- Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details.
- Optional rewarded ads are provided by Google AdMob, which collects device and ad data as described below. Where the law requires it, you are asked for consent first, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy choices.
- A pet photo you choose for the "My Dog" feature is read on your device to pick out colours, and for that it is never uploaded. Only if you separately ask for a 3D model of your dog, and agree on the screen that explains it, is that one photo sent to our server and our 3D model provider. We do not keep the photo, and you can delete the model at any time.
- We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information stored on your device
The Game saves your progress (levels completed, stars, best scores), your gems, bones and unlocked items, your settings (sound, music, vibration, speed, reduced motion and similar) and the colours and 3D model of a My Dog character on your device. This information stays on your device. We cannot see it and it is not sent to us (except the photo and purchase details described in section 4 when you ask for a 3D model). It is deleted when you choose "Reset progress" in Settings or delete the Game. Your device's own backup service (for example iCloud or Google backup) may include it in device backups under that service's terms.
2. Purchases
When you buy something, the purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies. The store tells the Game which product was bought and gives it a receipt so the item can be delivered and restored. We do not receive your name, email address or payment card details. The Game keeps a record of what you own on your device so it can unlock your items.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Game offers optional rewarded video ads, for example to keep going after a run. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. When the ad service runs, Google may collect and process:
- device identifiers, such as the advertising ID on Android;
- your IP address, from which an approximate (city-level) location can be estimated;
- device and app information, such as model, operating system, language and app version;
- ad interaction data, such as which ads were shown, watched or tapped, and crash and performance data about the ads.
Google uses this data to deliver, measure and limit the frequency of ads, prevent fraud and, where you allow it, show personalised ads. Learn more in "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services": https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and in Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Your choices:
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the Game asks for your consent through Google's consent message before any personalised ads are shown. If you do not consent, only non-personalised ads (which still use limited data, for example for frequency capping and fraud prevention) are shown. You can review or change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy choices.
- On iPhone and iPad, the Game does not ask for permission to track you and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), so ads are not personalised using data linked across other companies' apps and websites.
- On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads).
- Ads in the Game are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
- Buying "Remove Ads" hides every ad prompt. The ad service is then not used to request ads.
4. My Dog photos and 3D models
If you buy the My Dog feature, you can choose a photo of your pet. The Game asks for permission to use your camera or photo library only when you use this feature, and only to read the photo you choose. The Game never saves the photo itself.
Colour matching (on your device): the photo is processed entirely on your device to pick out its main colours. For this, the photo is never uploaded, shared or sent to anyone. Only the resulting colour values are saved on your device.
3D model (optional, only when you ask for it): if you tap "Make 3D" and agree on the screen that explains what happens, the Game sends:
- the one photo you chose, reduced in size and re-encoded as a JPEG, which removes its location and camera data;
- your store purchase receipt, so our server can check that you bought My Dog and count the 3D creations included with it;
- on test builds only, a device identifier used instead of a receipt.
Our server, hosted by Cloudflare, checks that the photo shows a dog using an automated image classifier, then passes the photo to Tripo AI, our 3D model provider, which turns it into an animated 3D model. We do not store the photo: it is held in memory only while the request is handled. Tripo AI processes it under its own terms and privacy policy (https://www.tripo3d.ai). The finished model is stored on our server so the Game can download it, and it stays there until you delete it. Our server also keeps a record of the creation (a random job number, its status and the time) and a one-way hash of your purchase so it can count creations. It does not keep your name, email address or the receipt itself.
You can delete your My Dog character and its 3D model in the Characters screen. This deletes the colours and model from your device and asks our server to delete the model and creation record. Creations already used are not refunded. You can withdraw camera or photo access at any time in your device settings.
5. What we do not do
- We do not use analytics or tracking services, and Unity's built-in analytics and diagnostics services are switched off.
- We do not collect precise location, contacts, microphone input, messages or health data.
- We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising except through the ad service described in section 3, under the choices described there.
6. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
Where data protection law such as the GDPR or UK GDPR applies:
- information saved on your device is processed to provide the Game you asked for (performance of a contract);
- personalised advertising relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings > Privacy choices;
- non-personalised advertising, ad measurement and fraud prevention rely on our legitimate interest in funding a free game and keeping ads safe, balanced against your rights;
- purchase records are processed to deliver what you bought and to meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting;
- a My Dog photo is sent for 3D modelling only with your consent, which you give on the screen shown before each upload, and the resulting model is kept to provide the feature you bought (performance of a contract).
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. We hold very little personal information on our own server, and most data can be managed directly:
- Game data: use "Reset progress" in Settings or delete the Game.
- My Dog 3D models: use "Delete" in the Characters screen, which also deletes the model and creation record from our server. If you deleted the Game first, email us and we will delete them for you.
- Ad data: use Settings > Privacy choices, your device's ad settings, or contact Google (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
- Purchase data: contact Apple or Google.
You can also email support@doxiedrop.app, and we will help or point you to the right company. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
California and other US states: we do not sell personal information. Sharing for advertising happens only through Google AdMob as described above, and you can opt out of personalised ads using the controls in section 3. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
8. International transfers
Google may process ad data, and Cloudflare and Tripo AI may process My Dog photos and models, in the United States and other countries. These companies rely on legal safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for these transfers.
9. How long data is kept
Game data stays on your device until you reset it or delete the Game. Google keeps ad data for the periods described in its own policies. We do not store My Dog photos. A My Dog 3D model and its creation record stay on our server until you delete them, and the purchase hash is kept while the purchase can still be used for creations. Tripo AI keeps data for the periods described in its own policies.
10. Children
The Game is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Ads in the Game are limited to content suitable for general audiences, and purchases are protected by a parental gate. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Game, contact us at support@doxiedrop.app and we will help remove it.
11. Security
Your progress file is stored in the Game's private app storage on your device, which other apps cannot read. My Dog uploads are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and each 3D model can be downloaded only with a secret key held by your copy of the Game. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but because the Game sends us so little personal information, there is very little that could be exposed.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Game or the law changes. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the Game.
